I strongly believe in the power of a safe space.
CARLA KELLY, MASTER’S LEVEL INTERN
There is power in a safe space, a space where you can not only be yourself, but where you feel safe enough to share your deepest hurts, most powerful breakthroughs, & everything in between.
I believe therapy is a place where we can explore and wrestle with those things. This is far from easy & takes an immense amount of courage, but I would be honored to walk through those moments with you.
TRAINING & EDUCATION
Being an “Intern therapist” means that I am in the process of completing my studies in Marriage & Family Therapy (LMFT) through Kairos University. I also receive regular supervision & guidance from experienced, licensed therapists as I work towards my licensure.
As an intern, I will be taking Medicaid clients or self-pay clients only.
My hope is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space to express your thoughts and feelings and work towards your best life.
KARI LEIGHTY, MASTER’S LEVEL INTERN
I am here to support your journey towards healing and growth. My hope is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you are free to express your thoughts and feelings about your situations while working towards helping you live your best, most fulfilling life, both in the present and the future.

I believe people are not defined by their problems and that rewriting one’s story can be a
pow
erful act of healing.
MICHELE DALTO, MASTER’S LEVEL INTERN
I see people as more than the problems they face, and I value creating a collaborative space where experiences, strengths, and meanings can be explored with curiosity and compassion. I believe that through reflection and connection, people can begin to rewrite their narratives in ways that feel more empowering and authentic. I would be honored to walk alongside you and guide you on this journey.

My goal is to provide a supportive and nurturing space where children and adolescents feel safe to grow, heal, and build resilience.
LAUREN WELLER, MASTER’S LEVEL INTERN
Children and adolescents deserve a space where they feel heard, understood, and supported—especially when navigating big emotions, life changes, or difficult experiences. I work with young clients using a developmentally appropriate and compassionate approach that honors their unique stories and emotional needs. Building trust and emotional safety is at the center of my work, allowing clients to express themselves at their own pace.
I incorporate creativity, structure, and evidence-informed strategies to help children and teens develop healthy coping skills, emotional awareness, and confidence. I also value collaboration with caregivers, recognizing the important role family support plays in a child’s healing and growth. Whether addressing everyday challenges or deeper emotional concerns, my goal is to offer steady guidance as young clients strengthen resilience and move forward.
TRAINING & EDUCATION
I am currently completing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Studies at Liberty University and am working toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor. My training emphasizes ethical practice, trauma-informed care, and child- and adolescent-centered counseling approaches, such as DBT and CBT skill training.
As an intern, I will be taking Medicaid clients or self-pay clients only.
Healing begins in a space where people feel safe enough to be seen, supported, and fully themselves.
MAKENNA PURCELL, MASTER’S LEVEL INTERN
I believe there is so much power in creating a safe and supportive space where children, teens, and adults alike feel free to be themselves, express their emotions, and explore their inner world without fear or judgment. Healing and personal growth can be challenging at any stage of life, especially when navigating overwhelming emotions, painful experiences, or seasons of uncertainty, but no one should have to face those moments alone. My approach is centered on building trust and emotional safety while creating an environment that feels welcoming, engaging, and supportive. Whether working with children learning to process big emotions, teens navigating life transitions, or adults seeking healing and balance, I strive to help each person feel seen, heard, and understood.
